march 28, 2011. - football fables

yesterday, i had the pleasure to attend an impromptu screening of baff akoto’s football fables, a great documentary and newly on release as of today: http://www.facebook.com/pages/FOOTBALL-FABLES-a-film-by-Baff-Akoto/193690058364, it is an excellent watch and should be supported. akoto profiles the football clubs in ghana and the aspirations of many young players seeking professional recruitment. while watching, i couldn’t help but think about ‘the african game’ photographed by andrew dosunmu, which also highlighted football as a way to explore modern culture, identity and life in africa.
