In Neu-Ulm Germany, you will find a relatively new complex of buildings opened by the Walther Family Foundation.  A place for photography exhibitions, curatorial research and book publication and expansion of its ever growing collection. Its first exhibition (last summer) was curated by Okwui Enzewor which featured photographers from the permanent collection. Obvious favs of mine are Samuel Fosso, Malick Sidibe, Seydou Keita and Zwelethu Mthethwa. ‘Appropriated Landscapes’  will be the upcoming summer exhibition, featuring African landscapes. 

Several images below were from the first exhibition. I am curious to check out the facility, meet the Walther’s and see the show. Anyone up for adventures in Germany?
