there seems to be a large influx of older generation african men whose photography works are beginning to receive accolades. the latest addition is 82 year old adama kouyate. his solo show ‘paris photo hall’ featured works photographed in his storefront studio from the 50-70’s. his range, contrast and fluidity can be seen on the walls of galerie jean brolly until june 4th. or you can pick up his book, “studios d’afrique” published last fall by gang books.
